Samsung overseas Galaxy A73 5G starts pushing Android 13, One UI 5.0 release

Earlier this week, Samsung released a stable Android 13 update to the Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G. Now, Samsung is also releasing a stable Android 13 update to the Galaxy A73 5G.

The firmware version of the stable Android 13 update for the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is A736BXXU2BVK2. However, the update does not come with the November 2022 security patch update. The new update is rolling out first in Malaysia and it is expected to be released in other countries/regions in the coming days.

Galaxy A73 5G users in Malaysia can install the stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update by navigating to Settings – Software Update and clicking Download and Install.

The Samsung Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update brings a revamped UI design with stacked widgets, better Material You implementation with palette functionality, and larger notification app icons. There are also minor changes to the settings menu and quick settings toggle.

Samsung has also improved all the built-in apps in One UI 5.0. The OCR feature in the built-in camera, gallery and keyboard apps extracts text from images. The Samsung keyboard also brings more emojis, animated emojis and AR emojis. Performance, UI fluidity and transitions have been improved.

Samsung has also improved Bixby, Bixby Routines, and accessibility features. In fact, Samsung has renamed Bixby Routines to Modes and Routines, and the built-in image and video editors have been improved.
