Today, Samsung’s official Twitter account @Samsung Mobiles US sent out a series of tweets mocking Apple’s iPhone for its lack of innovation. Samsung said the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold / Flip series of folding screen phones have been released for 2 years, 5 months, and 20 days, while Apple has yet to launch a foldable iPhone. The 48-megapixel main camera used on the iPhone 14 Pro series, Samsung said its 100-megapixel Galaxy S20 Ultra has been released for 2 years, 6 months, and 4 days.
Samsung mocked Apple’s iPhone in a new ad for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Z Flip4 on September 2, before the Apple iPhone 14 series was even released.
On September 8, the same day that Apple’s iPhone 14 series was announced, Samsung mocked the iPhone with a new ad for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 folding phone, in which a woman purchases a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 folding phone with her non-folding iPhone.
Previously, Samsung has also often mocked Apple when new iPhones are released, such as in 2017 when it mocked the iPhone X’s bangs, the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack, and many other flaws. But it’s worth noting that Samsung followed up with these same solutions and features that it once mocked.
