Samsung official customer service reveals One UI 6 Beta update content

Samsung is expected to launch a public beta version of One UI 6.0, which is Samsung’s next-generation major update, but there are not many details exposed yet. However, a Samsung customer service representative may have revealed something.

According to the customer service agent (source: Twitter user @tarunvats33), the beta version of One UI 6.0 has redesigned some user interface elements, including the notification panel, music player, Samsung icons, and the settings menu. In addition, One UI 6.0 also updates the design of Samsung’s own applications and uses better typography, which may refer to improved fonts and readability.

However, it needs to be pointed out that Samsung customer service personnel do not necessarily have a very accurate understanding of unreleased products and firmware. Sometimes they know as much about an unannounced product as anyone else. So, be skeptical about this information.

However, the changes mentioned by the customer service staff above are not outrageous. These are the changes that can be expected in the annual One UI update. Improved UI elements, better icons and fonts, new settings updates, and changes to the notification bar and first-party apps have become regular updates to One UI in recent times.

The only thing that stood out was the Music app, one of Samsung’s own apps, but the customer service agent singled it out for reasons unknown. Of course, it remains to be seen whether Samsung will update it significantly.

The Galaxy S23 series should be the first phones to get the One UI 6.0 beta update, followed by older Samsung flagships and folding phones. The public beta will likely follow the Unpacked event, which will take place on July 26.
