Samsung is developing a new device for its DeX platform, rumored to be called “DeXbook”.
In early 2020, the DeXbook was rumored to be a new DeX-oriented device, expected to be a 14.1-inch portable monitor that would help Galaxy smartphone owners turn their phone into a DeX workstation on the go.
Now, according to a new leak from @OreXda, the DeXbook will be a Samsung laptop that combines the DeX platform and ChromeOS into one device.
It was revealed that Samsung DeXbook will use Exynos chips based on 5nm or 7nm nodes, but the specific model has not been disclosed.
Samsung is expected to release this unusual DeX-Chrome OS hybrid device, and it is reported that Samsung is also developing a new Exynos-powered Windows 11 ARM laptop Galaxy Book. There are indications that Samsung has plans to use Exynos chips in a wider category of devices.
