According to Japanese news, according to Samsung’s recently approved technology patent, a foldable mobile phone that supports an S Pen stylus slot will be used as soon as possible on the Galaxy Z Fold6 phone released next year.
Samsung outlines two design options in the patent, one of which is placed on the back of the phone. The design is similar to the S Pen protective case, except that the card slot is embedded directly into the Galaxy Z Fold6 foldable phone, located below the camera.
Another solution is to place it on the side of the phone, but the screen part has an irregular design, the upper part will be slightly extended, and the lower part is magnetically attached to the S Pen. The patent that Samsung’s vision is to make its foldable device as slim as possible. However, integrating the stylus slot into the device will increase the volume, increasing overall thickness, so it is more likely to use external Innovative solutions for connectivity.
Samsung’s patent also outlines the future design of the S Pen, offering a variety of button designs that enable precise digital sketching, 3D modeling, detailed annotation, accurate colour selection, and more.
