August 11, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 were announced last night, these two folding phones have higher durability and will also be less expensive in terms of screen repair.
According to Sam Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will cost $249 ($1677.94) to repair if the screen is broken outside of the warranty period in the US, and that’s with an $11 ($74.12) monthly subscription to the Samsung Care + plan.
But this year Samsung has lowered the price of this repair to $29 (about $195.42), but of course you still need to subscribe to the Samsung Care + plan, and this price is similar to the cost of repairing the screen of an ordinary Galaxy smartphone, which is Samsung’s way of reducing the cost of repair for users with folding machines.
The former features a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex internal screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.2-inch HD+ 13.1:9 aspect ratio Dynamic AMOLED 2X external screen with a 6.2-inch HD+ 13.1:9 aspect ratio. AMOLED 2X external screen with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 402ppi.
The device is powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, complemented by 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, a 4400mAh battery and support for 25W fast charging + 15W wireless charging, but it won’t come with a charger.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 features a 6.7-inch (right angle) screen with ultra-thin glass, a hard-wearing Corning Gorilla Glass Victus + glass back panel, and a light and strong armored aluminum frame construction for the bezel.
Powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 8GB of RAM as standard and 128GB – 512GB of RAM as an option. Powered by 3700mAh (typical) battery.
