Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Android 13, One UI 5.0 for US taster users

Samsung has released a stable Android 13 update to Galaxy Z Fold 4 users in the United States, after releasing a stable Android 13 update ahead of schedule for phones like the Galaxy S21 series. The update is available to users of the One UI 5.0 Beta first and may be released to all users in the US soon.

The firmware version of the stable Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is F936U1UEU1BVK3. The update is available in the US for unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 4 models participating in the One UI 5.0 Beta program. Since the firmware version of the One UI 5.0 Beta 5 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 ends with ZVK3, it looks like it’s stable enough to be a stable update. The update brings the November 2022 security patch to the folding screen phone.

One UI 5.0 Beta 5 user of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US can download the stable Android 13 update. Users can do so by navigating to Settings — Software Update and tapping Download and Install. Samsung could release the stable Android 13 update to all other Galaxy Z Fold 4 users in the US as soon as next week.

The Samsung Android 13 / One UI 5.0 update brings a slightly revised UI design with an expanded palette feature, larger icons in the notification area, and slight changes to the Quick Settings toggle section. The update also brings stacked widgets, separate language settings for each app, Samsung DeX user interface improvements, and a reorganized privacy and security dashboard.

Other improvements include better animations and transitions, easier multitasking gestures, OCR recognition in the Gallery app, and improved editing capabilities in the built-in image and video editor sections. improvements have also been made to Bixby and Bixby Routines, bringing new options and features. Bixby Routines has been rebranded as Modes & Routines. Performance and accessibility features have also been enhanced.
