Samsung is about to release a new folding screen phone Galaxy Z Flip 5 in July, today tipster Yogesh Brar on Twitter revealed some configuration information about the machine.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of storage. the folding inner screen is a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate support, while the outer screen has been increased to 3.4 inches from 1.9 inches in its predecessor.
However, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 does not seem to have much improvement in terms of battery and camera. The battery capacity is still 3700mAh and the wired charging speed remains at 25W. It is not clear if the device supports wireless charging, but the previous Galaxy Z Flip series had this feature.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s rear camera remains unchanged, with two 12-megapixel lenses. But Samsung may improve the photo experience through software optimization and a new Snapdragon chip. In addition, the tipster also revealed that the machine will come with Android 13 and One UI 5.1 pre-installed and will be able to enjoy four major Android updates and five years of security patch updates.
