The rugged smartphone market just got a new entry, the Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro. This device from Samsung aims to redefine what we know as a rugged smartphone. Often most rugged devices come with really aggressive looks since they are for harsh conditions.
But Samsung took a slightly different path in the design of the XCover6 Pro. The design of this device is very simple, Samsung knows that it doesn’t need to look tough to be tough. This device is for a specific niche of users whose jobs put them in environments that tend to damage their smartphones.

On this device, Samsung didn’t just offer a rugged look, but also specifications that’d make it a delight to use. From the inside out, the new XCover comes with loads of features. For this device, the cherry on top of the hardback is its support for 5G connections and Wi-Fi 6.
A Qualcomm mid-range processor gives this device all the power it needs to function. It also comes with large storage and a responsive screen for quick actions. Its battery life isn’t the best with most rugged smartphones available today. But, the capacity this device comes with can carry for a whole day.

This rugged smartphone is on display via Samsung’s German website. It might also be available in a few other regions for sale once available. There is only one storage variant with this device, the 6GB RAM option. Similarly, there is only one colour on the XCover6 Pro, Black with red accents around the body.
The exact price of this device isn’t available as its purchase link directs to physical stores. We can also not be sure of the price range this device will fall into. But we know that it will be available for sale in the coming weeks.
