Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro phones push Android 13 / One UI 5.0, the last major version update

Samsung is rolling out the Android 13 update to all three versions of its Galaxy XCover Pro phones worldwide. The U.S. carrier-unlocked and Canadian phones will get the Android 13 / One UI 5.0) update as well as a security patch for December 2022. International versions of the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro recently received the Android 13 update and the November 2022 security patch, and are now receiving the December 2022 security patch.

The latest updates for the U.S. carrier-unlocked (SM-G715U1) and Canadian (SM-G715W) Galaxy XCover Pro are firmware versions G715U1UEUFDVKA and G715WVLUAEVK9, respectively. Both updates bring Android 13, One UI 5.0, and a December 2022 security patch. The international version of the device is getting the firmware version G715FNXXSAEVL2 update. It brings the December 2022 security patch, which fixes 93 security vulnerabilities.

All Galaxy XCover Pro users are starting to get the update. Users can check for the update manually by going to Settings, Software Updates and clicking on Download and Install.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro phone launches in 2020 with Android 10 (One UI 2.0). Samsung has promised three major Android OS updates for the smartphone. Thus, Android 13 is the last major software update for the device. However, Samsung will continue to push security update patches to the phone for two years.

IT Home has learned that the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro phone is powered by an Exynos 9611 chip, has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, features a 6.3-inch Infinity display with 2400 x 1800 resolution, and supports wet hand operation and glove mode. It uses a 4050mAh removable battery and supports 15W fast charging technology.
