Samsung is expected to launch its next-generation smartwatches in July 2023 – Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Ahead of the launch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series has received FCC certification.
According to the US FCC certification, the SM-R930 is the 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch 6, while the SM-R940 is the 44mm version. According to the certification documents, the Galaxy Watch 6 has dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC capabilities. Both sizes of smartwatches support wireless charging and come with wireless charging model ER-OR900 device.
According to SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series wireless charging can reach up to 10W. Sadly, that’s the same wireless charging speed as last year’s Galaxy Watch 5, and the Galaxy Watch 4 has 5W wireless charging.
According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 will lack a physical rotating bezel, while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will bring back the iconic rotating bezel that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro lacks. Both smartwatches are expected to be equipped with an Exynos W980 chip (CPU frequency Slightly improved), will be pre-installed running Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series watches will have activity and health tracking functions, including an accelerometer, barometer, compass, ECG (Note: Electrocardiogram), gyroscope, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring tracking, stress tracking and sleep tracking, and can also perform body composition analysis, similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 series and Galaxy Watch 5 series.
