Samsung will release the Galaxy Watch 6 series of smartwatches next week. Ahead of the official launch, the exterior designs of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic have leaked through 3D CAD renders and official product images. Now, more details about the two upcoming smartwatches have also surfaced, including their sizes and versions.
According to a leaked poster from an official Samsung partner, the Galaxy Watch 6 will come in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will come in 43mm and 47mm sizes. Both smartwatches will be available in Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + Cellular (LTE)-enabled versions.
The leaked picture also shows that Samsung will offer a gift worth 10,000 won to users who buy any of its new smartwatches in South Korea. The poster also mentions that July 27 is The official launch date for the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
According to a previous report, the design of the Galaxy Watch 6 is similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 series, and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have a physical rotating bezel, similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Both upcoming smartwatches will feature circular OLED screens that are 20 percent larger than the Galaxy Watch 5. They will also use a slightly improved processor, the Exynos W930, with slightly higher clock speeds. The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 and 43mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are said to be equipped with 300mAh batteries, while the 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 and 47mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are powered by 425mAh batteries.
