Release date
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S series of high-end tablets usually have a refresh cycle of 1.5 years. For example, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S7 series in August 2020; and the Tab S8 series in February 2022.
So according to the update cycle, Samsung will release the Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets in August this year, along with the foldable flagships Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5.
Models
According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Tab S9 series will consist of three models: Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 + and Galaxy Tab 9 Ultra, available in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+5G versions, with the following model numbers.
Galaxy Tab S9: SM-X710 (Wi-Fi), SM-X716B (5G Global), SM-X718U (5G US)
Galaxy Tab S9 +: SM-X810 (Wi-Fi), SM-X816B (5G Global), SM-X818U (5G US)
Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra: SM-X910 (Wi-Fi), SM-X916B (5G Global), SM-X918U (5G US)
Pricing
No official pricing has been announced for the Galaxy Tab S9, but it is expected to be the same as the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
The S9 should be priced at $699 (currently about RMB 4858), the Galaxy Tab S9+ at $899 (currently about RMB 6248), and the high-end Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra at $1099 (currently about RMB 7638).
