Digital blogger @i ice universe issued a microblog, suggesting that Samsung’s future Galaxy S24 series may use a flat screen design.

Attached @i ice universe microblogging content is as follows:

If, one day, curved screen ancestor Samsung give up curved screen design, the whole series of models flat screen, what is your mood?

    A. Great, should have canceled the curved screen long ago.

    B. It's a shame.

The @iceUniverse shared more news in a tweet, stating that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a height and width of 162.3mm and 79mm respectively, which is an increase of 0.9mm compared to the width of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

He said that if the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra maintains the same bezels as the S23 Ultra, then it stands to reason that this increase of 0.9mm should be reflected in the screen width.

The crux of the matter is that available information suggests that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s screen width hasn’t been widened, but rather narrowed a bit.

This means that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s left and right bezels (including the thickness of the center bezel) are 3.42mm, while for comparison, the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s bezels are 2.3mm thick.

He believes it’s the screen data that are inaccurate but can’t confirm that at this time.

In a follow-up tweet, he said:

The width of 79mm has dictated how comfortable this phone is. iPhone 14 Pro Max is 77.xmm wide while iPhone 15 Pro Max is 76.xmm wide. iPhone is decreasing width, Samsung is increasing it.
