Samsung plans to fully invest in artificial intelligence technology on its next-generation flagship phone, the Galaxy S24 series, according to Sammobile, whose sources report. Samsung wants the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + and Galaxy S24 Ultra to be the smartest AI phones ever, even surpassing the features Google offers on its Pixel series.
It’s an ambitious goal, but unfortunately there isn’t much information on how Samsung is going to achieve it yet. All that is known is that the Galaxy S24 series will have some features from ChatGPT and Google Bard, such as creating content and stories based on some keywords provided by the user.
There are also some features that Samsung has designed itself, such as the text-to-image generative AI that was mentioned during the launch of the Exynos 2400 chip, and many of the features can be used both online and offline. There will also be improvements to the speech-to-text feature, and it’s uncertain what those improvements will be, but you can expect Bixby to have more human and intelligent conversations with users.
Samsung hasn’t given up on Bixby yet, and the company will likely focus more on Bixby in the coming years as phone makers start to turn to AI to make smartphones fun again. Only Google is currently serious about this, and Samsung wants to get in on the action. The Galaxy S24 series should also be faster at performing AI tasks compared to the Pixel smartphones, thanks to the more powerful Exynos and Snapdragon chips.
The Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 + and S24 Ultra are expected to be released in January, although the exact release date is not yet known.
