The company has announced today that Samsung Electronics will use the new mobile panel glass Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 in its next-generation Galaxy flagship smartphone.
Gorilla Glass Victus 2 was released in November last year and uses a new glass composition to improve the drop resistance while maintaining the same scratch resistance as Victus.
The 200g tester with Vicuts 2 glass is said to withstand a 1-meter free-fall drop on concrete and a 2-meter free-fall drop on a slightly softer asphalt surface.
