Samsung’s latest high-end phones are getting special enhancements for Webex collaboration apps. At MWC 2023, Webex announced that its video conferencing app improves productivity for users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Z Fold4.
In the Galaxy S23 series, Webex Meetings (Cisco’s video collaboration app) will allow users to share their phone’s camera footage with others. This feature is called “Mobile Camera Share”. With the Galaxy S23 Ultra, users can use the S Pen to dynamically add annotations to other people’s cameras to discuss their work. This is useful in certain industries, including construction, healthcare, IT and marketing.
If you have the Galaxy Z Fold4, you can use the Flex mode on your phone when using the Webex Meetings application. In this mode, users can select a portion of the screen to display a grid of people’s videos, while the other half of the folded screen can display a presentation or other material. When it is fully open, the app can display a grid containing up to 12 video feeds from attendees.
The app also offers a host of other collaboration features, including versatile file sharing, picture-in-picture, and a virtual whiteboard for discussing ideas.
