The South Korean technology giant has introduced their new budget-level device, the Samsung Galaxy M04, to certain markets. With this new device, Samsung doesn’t push hard on specifications and features but keeps things simple and affordable. In comparison with other devices in the budget smartphone market, this new entry from Samsung is outstanding.
One area where this device outwits the competition is concerning its software capability. The Samsung Galaxy M04 launches with Android 12 out of the box with major customizations from the OneUI software skin. We say that the software here stands out because Samsung offers two years of OS upgrades and four years of security upgrades. Meaning, buyers will not need to worry about changing their devices since they would get the latest Android versions once available for a period of two years.

It isn’t common to see devices in the sub $200 price point offer yearly OS upgrades, but, Samsung did a great job on this entry. Other features of this device include a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen display with a fast refresh rate. The processor onboard this device is the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, with up to 6GB of virtually expandable RAM. Storage on the Samsung Galaxy M04 is 128GB and is also expandable with a microSD card.
For photography, this device comes with a dual rear camera setup housing a 13MP main camera and on the front is a 5MP selfie camera. The battery capacity of this device is 5000mAh, and it supports 15W fast charging, which is okay for entry-level devices. For its retail price, the new Galaxy M04 retails at a starting price of $105.
