Samsung launched its Galaxy A14 5G phone in India, the United States and several other markets this month, and the smartphone is now getting its first firmware update.
The latest Samsung Galaxy A14 5G (SM-A146B) pushed firmware version A146BXXU1AWA2, bringing a January 2023 security patch that fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities, including those in Samsung Knox and Secure Folder. The update is also expected to include general bug fixes, performance improvements and other optimizations.
Users can do this by going to Settings, Software Update, and click Download and Install.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is the company’s first Galaxy A-series smartphone in 2023. The device comes pre-installed with One UI 5.0 running on Android 13. It will get at least two major Android OS updates and at least four years of security updates.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is powered by the Skyguard 700 chip (Exynos 1330 in Europe) and features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Infinity-V display notch. 50MP (f/1.8) main camera + 2MP (f/2.4) depth of field camera + 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera on the rear and 13MP (f/2.0) selfie camera on the front. Built-in 5000mAh battery. Also comes with side fingerprint recognition.
