According to the Head of MX business at Samsung Electronics TM Roh, the foldable sales for last year are impressive. In a blog post, the company claims a massive sale of 10 million foldable units for last year alone.
The number of foldable Roh says the company sold in 2021 shows a 300% increase from the year before that. This growth shows that more people are seeing the importance of foldable devices and purchasing them. This year, the company hopes to continue treading this impressive sales track.

Foldable devices go beyond performance, it is about style and usability. This is what Samsung offers with its yearly foldable entries, both Flip and Fold device form factors. But, these aren’t safe grounds, as the competition in the foldable market is growing rapidly.
Huawei has proved itself a big player in the Chinese foldable market by holding the top three foldable device sales. In other areas of the world where Huawei’s influence is failing due to US sanctions, brands like Honor, Vivo, OPPO, and Motorola are being the competition to Samsung. This year’s Samsung foldable devices will launch on August 10.
