At the Galaxy Unpacked conference held early this morning, in addition to announcing the Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy Book 3 series, Samsung also officially confirmed that it will launch the OneUI 5.1 upgrade plan for the old models in the near future.

The Galaxy S23 series models are pre-installed with the OneUI 5.1 system based on Android 13. In addition to new features, the new version is also better optimized for the system and hardware to better play the performance of the Galaxy models.

Quick access to Expert RAW:

Expert RAW lets you take high-quality photos without processing or compression, perfect for those who want full control and editing of their photos later.

Shared Family Album:

With Shared Family Album, users can more easily share photos with family members. Gallery recognizes the faces of your family members and suggests photos to add to your shared family albums. Each family member (up to 6 people) gets 5GB of storage.

Enhanced Remastering:

Remastering automatically removes shadows and reflections to enhance photo textures. Netizens can also remake GIFs for better resolution and clarity.

Simpler information display:

Swipe up when you’re viewing a picture or video in the gallery, and you can see at a glance when and where the photo was taken, what device it was taken on, where it’s stored, and more.

More powerful search:

You can now search for multiple people or topics at the same time. You can even search for people just by tapping their faces without tagging their names.

Choose where to save screenshots:

You can now store screenshots and screen recordings in a folder of your choice by setting in Advanced Features.

Use 3 emoji in AR Emoji Camera:

Take fun photos and videos with up to 3 friends in Mask mode. You can have fun replacing your friend’s face with a different character by tapping the emoji.

Layout and editing options improvements in AR Doodles:

Brushes are now available on the AR Doodle home screen for faster access. Even after you create a doodle, you can resize and move it around, and the new Eraser Tool lets you erase only part of the doodle without deleting the entire doodle.

New battery widget:

The new battery widget allows you to check the battery level of your Galaxy device. From the Home screen, you can check the remaining battery life of your phone, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch, and other supported devices directly.

Intuitive weather widget:

The new illustration style and a brief summary of the current weather conditions allow you to intuitively understand the weather information of sunny, cloudy, rainy or snowy.

Set different wallpapers according to your mode:

Set different wallpapers on lock screen and home screen based on your current activity. When setting the mode, you can choose a work wallpaper, a workout wallpaper, and more.
