Samsung is actively expanding the wearable device ecosystem. It recently submitted a new trademark called “Samsung Curio” to the British Intellectual Property Office, which is classified as “Class 9” and may be used in future smartphone smart ring.

It was previously reported that Samsung plans to use the smart ring as an extension of the XR headset to further compete with Apple’s Vision Pro headset.


Samsung has currently applied for the following trademarks in the US and Europe:

Samsung Pulse
Samsung Circle
Galaxy Insight
Galaxy Index
The trademark exposed today also applies to Class 09, which is as follows:
smart rings; wearable computer-essential smart bracelets, smart necklaces, smart glasses and smart rings; wearable digital electronic communication devices;
Downloadable smart ring software applications to track, collect, monitor, detect, identify, store, transmit, manage and evaluate biometric and physiological data, vital signs and personal health records, and provide medical advice;
Recording software application for smart rings to track, collect, monitor, detect, identify, store, transmit, manage and evaluate biometric and physiological data, vital signs and personal health records, and provide medical advice.
