Samsung recently started a partnership with Natural Cycles to bring all the features of the latter applies to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro smartwatch bands. One of the most notable is the ability to track the menstrual cycle of female users.
The Galaxy Watch 5 series has a built-in temperature sensor that detects the exact temperature of the skin. Female users using the smartwatch can easily access detailed information about their menstrual cycle through the Natural Cycles app.
Natural’s co-founder and CEO said, “Having helped millions of women around the world take control of their fertility, this partnership will allow Samsung to leverage our fertility technology to provide temperature-based cycle tracking through smartwatches for the first time.”
The official press release that the Natural cycles feature does not mention support for Galaxy Watch 5 series users in China. Samsung says the Natural cycles feature will be available in 32 markets in the second quarter of this year.
