Samsung admits previous adjustment errors, Galaxy Note 20 series and S20 FE updates are still monthly

Samsung Electronics has recently adjusted its product update push plan, reducing the frequency of security updates for Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series phones, from monthly updates to quarterly updates (once every three months).

The Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra have been on the market for over four years, so it’s understandable that security updates will be pushed out less frequently.

Samsung subsequently updated its product page to state that this was a mistake. The update frequency of the above four models will continue to maintain a monthly update rhythm and will receive April security updates.
