Samsung Electronics has recently adjusted its product update push plan, reducing the frequency of security updates for Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series phones, from monthly updates to quarterly updates (once every three months).
The Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra have been on the market for over four years, so it’s understandable that security updates will be pushed out less frequently.
However, the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy S20 FE were released six months later than the above three models, so the adjustment of the push frequency made many users confused and dissatisfied. The revised list of updated equipment as follows:
Samsung subsequently updated its product page to state that this was a mistake. The update frequency of the above four models will continue to maintain a monthly update rhythm and will receive April security updates.
