In December 2023, SAIC Volkswagen’s monthly sales of new energy models exceeded 20,000, reaching 20,538 units, a year-on-year increase of 88.8%; among them, the monthly sales of the ID. family exceeded 19,000 units, and the ID.3 Cumulative sales volume since its launch is 109,700 units.
For the whole year of 2023, SAIC Volkswagen New Energy sold a total of 130,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 44.7%.
SAIC Group’s sales of new energy vehicles hit a record high in December 2023, reaching 219,000 units, achieving significant year-on-month growth; for the whole of 2023, SAIC Group sold 1.123 million new energy vehicles, ranking second among Chinese auto companies in sales.
SAIC Passenger Cars (including overseas bases) sold 41,000 new energy vehicles in December, a year-on-year increase of about 25%. SAIC-GM’s new energy vehicle sales increased by about 312% year-on-year in December to 19,000 units, and Buick Weilan 6’s single-month sales exceeded 10,000 units. SAIC-GM-Wuling (including overseas bases) sold 124,000 new energy vehicles in December, a year-on-year increase of about 39%.
