SAIC Sold 482,000 Vehicles & delivered 102,000 EVs in September

SAIC announced production and sales report, September wholesale sales of vehicles reached 482,000 units, of which the terminal delivery of new energy vehicles 102,000 units (year-on-year growth of 29.6%, a year-on-year growth of 18.8%), wholesale sales of 105,000 units in overseas markets. 1-September SAIC new energy vehicle terminal deliveries reached 683,000 units, an increase of 18.2%.

SAIC’s cumulative wholesale sales in overseas markets reached 838,000 units in January-September, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%. SAIC’s own brand MG sold 28,000 units in the European market in a single month, doubling year-on-year, and MG ZS successfully won the monthly sales title of a single model in the Spanish auto market.

The major automobile enterprises in September car sales (up to the time of publication):

  • BYD September new energy vehicle sales of 287,500 units, up 43% year-on-year; the cumulative sales in the first nine months was 2,079,700 units, up 76.23% year-on-year.
  • Chery Automobile sold 190,000 units in September, with cumulative sales of 12,533,000 units in the first three quarters.
  • Geely’s September sales of 170,500 units, up 31% year-on-year, hit a record high.
  • Changan Automobile’s sales of new energy vehicles under its own brand exceeded 50,000 units, with 3,083 units of Avita 11 delivered and 17,370 units of Deep Blue delivered, up 17.9% year-on-year.
  • GAC Motor delivered 51,596 new vehicles in September, up 72% year-on-year, and the cumulative sales volume from January to September totalled 350,986 vehicles, up 93% year-on-year.
  • Li Auto delivered 36,060 vehicles in September, up 212.7% year-on-year.
  • Wuling Bengo sold 24,650 vehicles in September, with cumulative sales of 126,174 vehicles.
  • SAIC-Volkswagen’s ID. family ordered more than 20,000 units in September, of which the ID.3 model accounted for 15,000 units, and cumulative sales of the ID. family had exceeded 160,000 units by the end of September.
  • Zero Run Auto delivered 15,800 units in September, with a total of 44,325 units delivered in the third quarter.
  • Nio delivered 15,641 new vehicles in September, up 43.8% year-on-year, and 55,432 vehicles in the third quarter, up 75.4%.
  • Xpeng Auto delivered 15,310 new vehicles in September, up 81% year-on-year.
  • Hozon Auto delivered 13,211 units in September, with cumulative deliveries in the Thai market exceeding 10,000 units.
  • SAIC-GM’s new energy vehicle sales of 10,002 units in September increased 168% year-on-year.
  • Voyah Auto delivered 5,010 units in September, up 99% year-on-year. Cumulative sales from January to September increased by 102% over the same period.
  • Skyworth Auto delivered 3,635 units in September 2023 and exported 1,420 units overseas, up 142% year-on-year.
  • Smart delivered 2,621 units of new cars in September in China, with a cumulative total of 42,866 units delivered.
  • ArkFox Motors delivered 2,016 new vehicles in September, with a cumulative total of 14,501 vehicles delivered from January to September.
  • HiPhi Y model delivered 1,556 units in September, up 52.4% from a year earlier.
  • Kia’s September sales reached 21,859 units, up 35% year-on-year and 17% sequentially, with new energy models accounting for 31% of the total.
  • Kia Motors’ global sales in September were 261,000 units, up 4.8% year-on-year.
  • Volvo Cars sold 61,666 vehicles globally in September, up 25% year-on-year, including 15,460 vehicles in China.
  • SAIC Group sold 482,000 vehicles in September, up 4.8% year-on-year.
