SAIC Motor announced today its production and sales report for April 2023. It sold 374,000 complete vehicles in April, a year-on-year increase of 124.5%. Among them, sales of new energy vehicles were 68,000 units, an increase of 80.6% year-on-year.
In addition, SAIC’s self-owned brand sales in April were 203,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 81.9%; overseas sales were 90,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 130.5%.
The production and sales bulletin also shows that Zhiji Automobile sold 2,009 vehicles in April, and the cumulative sales volume this year is 5,774 vehicles. The April production and sales table of SAIC Motor’s brands is as follows:
SAIC said that in April, SAIC’s self-owned brand sold 203,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 81.9%, accounting for 54.2% of the group’s overall sales. SAIC sold 68,000 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 80.6%, of which sales of Roewe and MG new energy vehicles exceeded 26,000, a year-on-year increase of 606.6%. From January to April, the SAIC MG brand sold 10,000 vehicles in Europe, doubling year-on-year. This year, Europe will enter SAIC’s first “200,000-unit” overseas regional market.
