Among them, the 800V silicon carbide platform model will be put into use on the third model of the Zhiji brand in the second half of 2023, and the solid-state battery is expected to be launched in 2024, and it will also be the first to be equipped with the Zhiji brand model. In 2025, the application of solid-state batteries in entry-level products will be realized.
In addition, SAIC stated that “both 800V and battery replacement will be done”, because both have the characteristics of fast energy replenishment. As for the positioning of its brands such as Zhiji and Feifan, SAIC explained that Zhiji will be the first to apply the latest technology to meet users’ needs for power and intelligence; Feifan and Roewe will be more oriented to families and mass users.
According to previous reports, Liu Tao, CEO of Zhiji Automobile, warmed up his third model at the end of last month, the coupe SUV LS6. Its single-motor and dual-motor models have completed the declaration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and are expected to debut at the Chengdu Auto Show. The car is developed based on an 800V silicon carbide platform. It claims that the zero-to-hundred acceleration time is less than 3.5 seconds, and the top speed can reach 252km/h.
