0

Strategy Analytics agency reported that the Spanish smartphone market grew at a 7 percent annual rate and 3 percent sequentially in the third quarter of 2022. This is already four quarters later, the market has seen positive annual momentum.

Samsung, Xiaomi and Apple are the top three suppliers with 30%, 29% and 13% market share respectively. All of the top five suppliers grew, except OPPO. Apple recorded a strong annual growth of 60% in the quarter. For Samsung, its Galaxy A and Galaxy S series were the main sales drivers, and Chinese suppliers accounted for nearly half of the smartphone sales in the quarter.

Spain is less likely to be affected by the upcoming recession than its European counterparts.
