AMD yesterday released the Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 driver update to optimize OpenGL performance, claiming up to 92% improvement in game performance on the OpenGL-based game My World.
According to YouTuber’s 54 FPS test, AMD’s classic RX 580 graphics card has indeed achieved a big performance boost. In the My World test, the average frame rate was 302 FPS with the previous version of the driver; after updating to the Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 driver, the average frame rate reached 547 FPS.
AMD released the RX 580 graphics card in 2017 with 2304 stream processors, 8G GDDR5 memory, and 256bit bit width, and to this day, the card is the number one AMD graphics card in the Steam hardware survey.
