Rufus is a well-established USB boot disk creation tool. This tool is open-sourced on GitHub under the GPLv3 protocol. It can create ISO format images of Windows, Linux and other systems into USB boot disks.

Developer Pete Batard released the Rufus 4.3 version update today. This update does not introduce major new functions/features, but it improves many bugs in previous versions and optimizes running performance.
The updated content of the Rufus 4.3 stable version is as follows:
- Dead 4 Returns Add support for saving Rock Ridge symbolic links when using NTFS
- Add exception to enforce NTFS for Linux Mint’s LMDE
- Add Expert functionality to restrict Windows installations to S mode
- Fix persistence support for Debian 12 when booting in BIOS mode
- Fixed regression that prevented opening .vhd images
- Update UEFI: NTFS to more clearly report bugs on bootmgr security issues
- Improved search for conflicting processes by running in a background thread
- Improved support for Slax Linux
