Rolls-Royce’s Spectre EV launched with deliveries starting in Q4 2023

Rolls-Royce officially announced its first pure electric coupe Spectre EV (Flash), which will open for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Rolls-Royce Flash is positioned as an “ultra-luxury electric super coupé” with a two-door, four-seat GT styling. The exterior follows the family design language of the fuel-fired model, with a front fascia consisting of the iconic Parthenon grille + split headlights on both sides, and a sporty coupé body structure.

Based on an all-aluminum “luxury architecture”, the Rolls-Royce Flash is powered by a 120kWh battery pack and is expected to have a combined CLTC range of 585km, support 195kW charging power and accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds.

Rolls-Royce Sparkling weighs 2975kg, has a length, width and height of 5453×2080×1559mm and a wheelbase of 3210 mm, and uses very large 23-inch wheels. The Parthenon-style grille is made of polished stainless steel and is the widest front grille in Rolls-Royce’s history.

Rolls-Royce Flash will have a comfortable and highly optimized driving experience with a range of features that Rolls-Royce calls Planar Suspension, which the company calls a “magic carpet ride” that uses the vehicle’s mass to dampen small, high-frequency vibrations on the road. The vehicle monitors 18 sensors during cornering and four tires can operate independently to prevent bumps.

▲ The Shining also continues the ethereal starry sky theme, and is the first model with starry sky doors

Inside, the Rolls-Royce Flash will feature the Spirit infotainment cockpit, based on BMW’s 8th generation iDrive platform, and engineers are said to have tested the Rolls-Royce Flash on 25,000 kilometers of road to ensure the vehicle responds to data related to “climate, ground speed, road type, vehicle condition and driving style. ” related data.

The Rolls-Royce Shining will start deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2023, and the price has not been announced. However, according to officials, the price of the car will be between the Cullinan SUV and the Phantom, which is between $327,750 (about 2.357 million yuan) and $458,000 (about 3.293 million yuan).

The Rolls-Royce Shining marks the brand’s first step towards full electrification, a goal the company says it will achieve by 2030. That’s in stark contrast to Rolls-Royce’s parent company, BMW, which has yet to announce when it will transition to 100 percent electric vehicles.
