ROG has now announced that it will release the new Z790 motherboard on October 16, 21:00. At present, the appearance of the new Maximus FORMULA and Maximus APEX Encore models has been exposed.
The ASUS ROG Maximus series is positioned at the high end and is subdivided into EXTREME, FORMULA, APEX and HERO models, corresponding to the four models in the ASUS poster.
“wnxod” has now revealed the new Z790 FORMULA motherboard, which features a black and white color scheme, retains the E-ATX board design, and comes with four DDR5 DIMM slots and two PCIe Gen5 x16 slots, and Wi-Fi 7 support.
The ROG Maximus Z790 APEX Encore has also been revealed. Designed for overclocking, this series of motherboards comes with two memory slots that support ROG DIMM M.2 expansion.
Intel is about to launch its 13th Gen Core-based Core 14 desktop processors, and motherboard makers will be launching a series of upgraded Z790 motherboards, which are expected to hit the market this month.
