Rockstar launched Red Dead Redemption on the PS4 and Switch platforms on August 17 this year. This 2010 game is priced at US$50 (currently about RMB 366), and the frame rate is only 30 frames on each platform, which has caused dissatisfaction among many players.

Rockstar has recently launched a version 1.03 update patch for the PS platform version of the game. The updated content is as follows:
- Added an option to enable 60 frames per second for the game on PS5 via Backwards Compatibility.
- Added an option to “Enable subtitles” directly when launching the game for the first time.
- General bug fixes and improvements.
After installing the relevant patches, if players use PS5 to play the game in backward compatibility mode, there will be an additional “60 frame option” in the game’s “Picture Settings” for selection.
However, the relevant update is only available for PS5. On PS4 Pro and regular PS4, the game still runs at 30 frames, and on Xbox Series X|S, “Red Dead Redemption” is still locked at 30 frames.
