Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows 8.1, and Win7 has ended support on January 14, 2020.
Rockstar has now updated its support announcement to announce that the Rockstar Games Launcher and supported Rockstar games will no longer support the Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems starting January 30, 2024.
In order to prevent future service outages and continue to use new features, Rockstar recommends users of the above systems upgrade to a supported operating system as soon as possible.
Microsoft issued an announcement announcing the closure of free upgrade channels from Windows 7 and 8 to Windows 11 and 10. In other words, it is no longer possible to upgrade the genuine Win11 system from Win7 and Win8 for free.
In fact, most games have begun to gradually abandon old system support. For example, “League of Legends” no longer supports 32-bit Windows operating systems on April 4 (version 13.7).
