Sony’s new flagship headphones WH-1000XM5 equipped with integrated processor V1, HD noise cancellation processor QN1, dual-core driver and 8 microphones to achieve new heights of noise cancellation and high resolution sound quality, providing A1 noise cancellation and 20 levels of ambient sound mode.
Sony has developed a new 30mm diaphragm and circuit optimization for the WH-1000XM5, which uses a highly rigid, low-weight carbon fiber material to deliver dynamic and powerful low frequencies while reaching high frequencies up to 40kHz.
The WH-1000XM5 also supports LDAC and DSEE Extreme for improved sound quality, and features a new design that brings together soft, pressure-relieving leather on the ear cups and headband for a better wearing experience.
In terms of battery life, the official claim is that the PD quick charge can be used for about 3 hours in 3 minutes. When fully charged, the total time with noise cancellation on reaches about 30 hours, and with noise cancellation off lasts up to about 40 hours.
