Xiaomi phones have been supporting wireless charging for a long time now, and it’s evolving fast, but the hardware feature has never been present in Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi before. But that could change with the next new Redmi phone.
According to Weibo blogger @DigitalChat, Redmi’s new product is expected to support the new wireless charging feature. According to the comments, a large number of users may not want “wireless charging”, but rather a metal frame, or a cheaper phone with a larger battery capacity.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra phone, for example, supports 67W wired second charge, 50W wireless second charge and 10W wireless reverse charge. It is equipped with a 4800mAh battery, which can be charged up to 40% in 15 minutes using wireless fast charging.
