Xiaomi Redmi officially announced that the K60 Extreme Edition has become the first Redmi mobile phone equipped with IP68 dustproof and waterproof, claiming that “1.5 meters of water depth, 30 minutes can still be used normally”.
In the GB T 4208-2017 enclosure protection level, the waterproof and dustproof level mainly depends on the two digits XX behind IPXX, the first X is the dustproof level from 0 to 6, and the highest level is 6; the second X is the waterproof level From 0 to 8, with 8 being the highest grade. The highest degree of protection is IP68.
Today, IP68 dustproof and waterproof has become a standard feature of flagship mobile phones. Currently, Xiaomi 13 series, Huawei Mate 50 series, Samsung Galaxy S23 series, and Apple iPhone 14 series phones are all equipped with this function.
The Redmi K60 Extreme Edition has been officially announced to be equipped with Dimensity 9200 + processor and X7 independent display chip, and it is also blessed with the new Furious Engine 2.0. In addition, the product screen also supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The Redmi K60 Extreme Edition will also provide a 24GB+1TB large memory version, and the official claims that “more than 70 background applications reside.”
At present, the appearance of the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition has been announced. It provides two colours of shadow blue and black (the name has not yet been announced), and uses an integrated metal DECO. The Yingqing model has a ceramic texture body, and the black model has a carbon fiber texture body without a screen bracket design.
