Xiaomi is preparing to launch its upcoming Redmi K50i smartphone in India. Redmi K50i will mark the re-launch of the Redmi K-lineup in India. After the launch of the Redmi K20 series, which happened almost 3 years before, we didn’t see any Redmi K-series device in India. Strong rumours hovering on the internet claim that the device will be the rebranded version of Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G.

Xiaomi had recently held a campaign across selected cities in India to mark 3-year anniversary of the Redmi K20 series. The brand also announced some freebies and giveaways for the Redmi K20 series users in India. They were also provided with an INR 500 gift card which can be redeemed between July 27th and August 07th, 2022.

Abhishek Yadav, a well-known Twitter tipster, has stated that the Redmi 50i may launch in India before July 24th, 2022, citing a user’s tweet on the subject. Additionally, he said that the launch could very well take place on July 21, 2022. This is just his opinion and a wild guess, though; the launch of the device in India has not yet been officially confirmed.

In the next few days or a week, we should see teasers for the company’s upcoming smartphone. Users are very enthusiastic about the upcoming Redmi K-series device, which will launch in the country after a very long time.

Redmi K50i specifications (rumoured)

The device is rumoured to be the rebranded version of the recently released Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G. If it turns out to be true, then it will feature a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 1080 x 2400 resolution 144Hz high refresh rate, 650 nits of peak brightness and support for Dolby Vision. It will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM.

It will have a triple rear camera with a 64-megapixel primary camera sensor, 8-megapixels secondary ultrawide and 2-megapixels macro. A 16-megapixel selfie snapper has been housed in a punch hole cutout on the front. It will gather power from a 5080mAh battery which supports up to 67W fast charging input.
