Xiaomi has officially made confirmation as to the launch of the Redmi K50i. This device will be a new addition to the K50 series that went official in the month of March. But it might not receive any upgrade or change in its processor as against the Redmi K50.
Promotions of this device have already kicked off across Redmi India’s social media pages. The latest from the Redmi India Twitter page show off the performance of this device in a promotion video. From that video, we see that this device will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor.

This is the same processor that the Redmi K50 uses, the Pro model from the K50 series uses the Dimensity 9000 processor. This device is advertised with the slogan “live extreme,” so we can expect so top mid-range performance from this device.
The promotions of this device do not only show off its processor, but also its design. We can’t tell how the front of this device will look, but we know it’d use a punch-hole camera cutout. What the Redmi K50i promotions give away in terms of design is the rear end of the device. The design on the rear is different from that seen on other devices in the K50 series.
On July 20 this device will launch, and then we’d get the actual specifications of this device. In the meantime, we’ll settle for available speculations regarding the features of this device. It is said to come with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Battery capacity will be, 4400mAh and supports fast charging at 120W.
Storage options on this coming Redmi device will come with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. Pricing might be below the 32,000 Rupees (~$402) price point. At this price estimate, the Redmi K50i will go head-to-head with other mid-range flagship devices available in the market.
