The Redmi 27-inch display is a new monitor from the Xiaomi subsidiary. This monitor is currently available for purchase via JD online store in China. It also packs a good number of features that make it a delight to behold.
Starting with its screen, the new Redmi display is a 27-inch 4K IPS monitor with a 175° viewing angle. It comes with a DisplayHDR 400 certification and SGS dual low blue light, making it soft on the eyes. Additionally a 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut on this monitor boasts accurate colour representation.
The monitor display comes with a wide array of ports for more connectivity and a better workflow. A total of seven ports are present at the back of the Redmi 27-inch monitor display. The display has a 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB-A ports, two HDMI ports, a DP 1.4 port, and a USB Type-C port. These ports are functional for delivering audio, charging the monitor, extending the monitor’s display, and connecting an external display to the monitor.
In terms of external connections, this display monitor can identify the operating system of the external laptops it connects with. For example, if it establishes a connection with a MacBook, the system immediately turns on its MAC compatibility mode. This mode helps optimize the display to suit the interface of a MacBook suit its large screen.
The Type-C connector present on this monitor charges it and offers reverse charging at 65W. So once you plug in your laptop to the new Redmi monitor, it starts charging while sharing on-screen resources. The display monitor also has a good battery life, which can sustain a user even when there is no electricity supply.
Another feature of this monitor that will appeal to many curators is its adjustable display. The 27-inch monitor comes with a stand that can adjust the display in various ways. It can increase its height from the table surface, stand vertically, rotate in any direction, and even tilt the display forward to suit viewing angles.
This monitor kicks off at a retail price of 2,299 yuan (~$344) and is currently available in China. It is currently selling at an early bird discount on JD’s official store. The availability of this monitor in regions other than Asia is not yet certain.
