As early as March this year, Xiaomi Redmi launched the Redmi 12C smartphone in India, priced at less than 10,000 Indian rupees. Now, the new Redmi 12 has appeared on the Indonesian TKDN certification website.
An upcoming Xiaomi device with model number 23053RN02A has been approved by Indonesian TKDN authorities, and the model number is similar to 23053RN02Y/L previously spotted in the IMEI database, suggesting that 23053RN02A may be the Indonesian version of the Redmi 12 phone.
Previously, according to FCC certification, the Redmi 12 phone has a built-in 5000mAh battery, supports 33W fast charging, and is expected to be pre-installed with an Android 13-based operating system.
For reference, the lower-end device than the Redmi 12, the Redmi 12C configuration includes a 6.71-inch 720×1560 LCD screen, MediaTek Helio G85 chip, 3GB-6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB expandable storage, rear 50MP main camera, 5MP Selfie camera and 5000mAh battery.
