The newest member of the Raspberry Pi family is the Pico W. Enhanced with wireless networking capabilities, it is available for $6. The Raspberry Pi Pico W is an updated version of last year’s Raspberry Pi Pico, a single-board computer built around the RP2040 chip. the Pico W is a minor update for the Raspberry Pi IoT platform, in which products have sold more than 2 million units.

With the introduction of the Raspberry Pi Pico W, the Pico platform now supports 802.11n wireless networking, making it more attractive for IoT applications. The Pico W retains pin compatibility with the original Pico, using the Infineon CYW43439 wireless chip.
Other than the addition of 802.11n wireless networking, there are a few other changes to the Pico W from the Pico, and the W version with 802.11n WiFi support is priced at $6 instead of the previous $4.
