The next generation 5G flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be official in the month of November. In-depth details on this information are coming directly from the Weibo blogger in light of the Snapdragon Summit event in November. We are barely a few weeks away from this event, which will bring the next generation of flagship smartphone processors.
The chipmaker, Qualcomm, only made mention of their Snapdragon Summit event on their official site. This is the yearly event that ushers in their next-generation flagship processors, but it will hold a bit earlier than last year’s event. When it comes to performance and specifications, the coming Snapdragon processor will perform better than the 8 Gen 1 series thanks to its upgrades.

According to the Weibo blogger, the coming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will use an eight-core architecture design (1+2+2+3). The performance of the largest core (Cortex X3) will improve 22% over the last generation’s similar core (Cortex X2). On the AnTuTu benchmark, our source is optimistic that this coming processor will effortlessly beat the 1.2 million score point.
Already this processor is out of development and on to the testing stage as it preps for launch in the month of November. After its launch, we will begin to see the roll-out of flagship devices that will make use of this processor. Some of the manufacturers that will use this processor on their flagship devices are Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, Huawei, OPPO, Realme, and a few others.
