Qualcomm Technologies announced a new long-term product program for its IoT solutions selected catalogue, has been launched on July 27 and will initially cover 16 different Qualcomm Technologies IoT system-on-chip (SoC).
The SoCs included in the Long-Term Product Program are designed to address the lifecycle needs of a number of different industrial and enterprise use cases, including asset device tracking and detection, construction security, drones and warehouse management, and Qualcomm’s public website. Product lifecycles for each solution in the catalogue range from 7, 10 and 15 years. The catalogue will continue to be updated as new Qualcomm chips are introduced and the lifecycles of earlier chips come to an end.

Notably, Qualcomm introduced new IoT solutions in April to power the next generation of IoT devices: the Qualcomm QCS8550, Qualcomm QCM8550, Qualcomm QCS4490 and Qualcomm QCM4490 processors.
The new use cases support further expansion of the IoT ecosystem in areas such as video collaboration, cloud gaming, retail and more, with integrated features including edge AI processing, power efficiency, ultra-sharp video and 5G connectivity.
