Qualcomm held the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii today and officially announced that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will become the standard processor for the 2024 Android flagship.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is based on Qualcomm Kryo 64-bit architecture and uses a 4nm process. The main specifications information attached as follows:

According to Qualcomm, the new 8 Gen 3 offers 30 percent better performance and 20 percent greater energy efficiency than its predecessor. It also offers a 25% increase in GPU performance and a 20% increase in energy efficiency. The Adreno 750 GPU supports hardware ray tracing and 240 FPS gaming.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also 5G ready and comes with Snapdragon X75 5G modem, LPDDR5X RAM support, UFS 4.0 support, Wi-Fi 7, Quad HD+ display support (up to 144Hz refresh rate) and 4K resolution at 60Hz refresh rate.
