QNAP today launched the world’s first Thunderbolt 4 NAS

QNAP today launched the world’s first Thunderbolt 4 NAS TVS-h674T/TVS-h874T, equipped with 12th generation Core i5, i7, and i9 processors.

Officially, this series of NAS is designed for creators and audio-visual productions. Introducing the Thunderbolt 4 NAS into the inherited data processing workflow can help users enjoy higher productivity and manage and protect precious creative data with great efficiency.

The NAS supports hot-swappable 2.5″ / 3.5″ SATA 6Gbps HDDs or SSDs with 2 x M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 slots, 2 x Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, 2 x 2.5GBASE-T RJ45 interfaces, 2 x PCIe Gen 4 expansion slots with Thunderbolt 4 AICs pre-installed in slot 2, 1 x Type-C USB 3.2 (10Gbps), and 1 x USB 3.2 (10Gbps). Gen 2 (10Gbps) connector, 2 x Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) connectors, 1 x 4K HDMI connector.

The parameters of the new NAS from QNAP are as follows:

  • TVS-h674T-i5-32G: Thunderbolt NAS offering 6 3.5″ SATA hard drive bays; 12th Gen Intel Core i5 6-core / 12-thread processor, Intel UHD Graphics 730, 32 GB DDR4 RAM
  • TVS-h874T-i7-32G: Thunderbolt NAS with 8 3.5″ SATA hard drive bays; 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12-core (8P+4E)/20-thread processor, Intel UHD Graphics 770, 32 GB DDR4 RAM
  • TVS-h874T-i9-64G: Thunderbolt NAS with 8 3.5″ SATA drive bays; 12th Gen Intel Core i9 16-core (8P+8E)/24-thread processor, Intel UHD Graphics 770, 64 GB DDR4 RAM

In terms of price, the i5 model of this series of NAS is priced at NT$85,000 (

Currently about RMB 19,210), and the i9 model is priced at NT$125,000 (Currently about RMB 28,250).
