The PS3 emulator RPCS3 team will soon launch a new version, bringing the PS4 emulator RPCSX, which currently supports audio and PS4 gamepads.
The emulator has been able to run the PS4 version of the “Sonic Mania” game before, but it is not very stable, it can only run simply, and needs to be optimized and improved.
YouTuber “BrutalSam” has released a demo video of “Sonic Mania” a few days ago, confirming that the emulator already supports audio and PS4 gamepad.
Note: After 12 years of development, the RPCS3 simulator claims to have successfully simulated 2,500 games out of 3,500 PS3 games. The three veterans of DH, kd-11 and Nekotekina jointly promoted the RPCS3 simulator.
DH said that RPCSX is still in its early stages, but the ultimate goal of the project is to emulate all PS4 games.
Through the RPCSX emulator, PC players can theoretically run many popular PS4 games, including “Bloodborne”, “Dream Creation”, “Gravity Rush End Chapter”, “Infamous: Second Son”, “The Last Guardian” “Wanda and the Colossus” remake and more.
