PS Plus becomes the most popular game service in the U.S. XGP third

In recent years the subscription model has become very popular in the gaming industry. According to statistics, Sony PS Plus is the most popular game subscription service within the United States, with 41% of users. It is followed by Amazon Prime (Luna) with 39%. The survey was made by Statista in May this year, interviewing 1,099 U.S. game subscription users and asking them whether they had spent money on various game subscription services in the past year.

Forty-one percent said they purchased PS Plus/PS Now. This was followed by Amazon Prime/Amazon Luna, with 39 percent saying they had used Amazon’s services in the past year. Amazon Luna is a cloud gaming platform from Amazon, launching in 2021.

Microsoft came in third place with Game Pass and Xbox Gold membership.
