OPPO recently entered the tablet market with the official announcement of the very first OPPO Pad. OPPO made the announcement a while ago and it is also set to be released in China. According to the recent reports, this will be an entry-level tablet for the Chinese market and it will be named the OPPO Pad Air. Starting today, the new OPPO Pad Air is available for pre-order in China.
A few images have been revealed that show only a glimpse of the new product. It looks like, the device has a typical tablet design and a single camera on the back. A few accessories have also been announced, and the folio keyboard case for the tablet and the OPPO pencil are among them. OPPO has yet to confirm more details on the OPPO Pad Air, but a post by Digital Chat Station revealed a few key specs earlier today.
OPPO Pad Air specifications (rumors)
According to the Weibo post by Digital Chat Station, the new OPPO tablet will sport a 10.36” LCD display. It will have a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 680 chipset, and the indications are, that the device will be 4G ready.
The device is supposed to have a 7,100mAh battery and will support 18W fast charging. In terms of speakers, the OPPO Pad will come with Dolby Atmos tuned quad speakers. No word on the cameras yet.
The leaker has also revealed the supposed price of the device. It will be around 1,000 yuan ($147) and in the coming days, other competing brands will release similar products with competing price ranges. Hopefully, OPPO will reveal more details on the product and an official launch event in the coming days.
